Choose a stencil and colors, then watch a temporary glitter tattoo take shape. Most guest interactions—including selection and application—take about ten minutes.
Materials and skin guidance
We use Glimmer Body Art Glitter Tattoo Skin Glue and glitter made for cosmetic or makeup use—not paper or general-purpose craft glitter. The adhesive manufacturer describes its glue as latex-free, intended for skin, and dermatologist tested. A reaction is still possible, so tell the artist about sensitive skin, allergies, adhesive concerns, or recent irritation before application.
Glitter tattoos are temporary external body art. There are no needles, piercing, or permanent ink. We do not apply over cuts, scrapes, rashes, sunburn, irritated or visibly infected skin, or near the eyes, lips, or mouth.
Age and consent
Guests under 18 need parent or legal-guardian permission. A parent or guardian must remain with children under five, help select an appropriate placement, and assist during application. Our artists may pause or decline an application that cannot be performed hygienically, comfortably, and safely.
Clean, single-guest application
- Gloves are worn and changed as needed.
- The skin is cleaned with a single-use alcohol wipe.
- Each stencil and disposable brush or applicator is used for one guest.
- Each guest receives a separate disposable glitter tray.
- Product is dispensed from closed containers; unused glitter is never returned to the primary container.
Wear and care
Designs typically last a few days and may last up to seven days. Actual wear varies with placement, skin, activity, washing, rubbing, and aftercare. Avoid picking, rubbing, lotion, sunscreen, oils, or sanitizer directly over the design, and pat dry after water.
Removal
Soften the design with baby oil, coconut oil, makeup remover, or mild soap and warm water. Wipe gently with a soft cloth rather than scrubbing harshly. Seek medical attention if irritation or a rash occurs.
Event planning
We can plan for up to approximately 20 applications per hour when additional trained help is available. This is an estimate, not a guarantee; design complexity, guest needs, choices, breaks, and event conditions affect throughput.
